strawberry shortcakes...

We got a ton of strawberries from our CSA box this Saturday and we're making good use of them! We topped some over a chicken salad last night and then this morning for breakfast, I made shortcakes. The boys loved them....Eden wouldn't try them, silly girl! They were sooooo good. I found a Paula Deen recipe on Food Network. I didn't have half and half so I used whole milk. Eric said the sprinkled sugar on top made them. Oh for the cream, I mixed some mascarpone cheese with some powdered sugar and add a dash of vanilla.

quesadillas

Here's the quesadillas we made with the leftover mole sauce and the extra shrimp we had. They were tasty and super quick on the grill.
